Latino Program Co-Leader
Emerge is a state-certified Intimate Partner Abuse Education Program that provides education groups for those who abuse intimate partners. Currently, these groups are held via Zoom. In-person meetings will resume in Jamaica Plain once it is considered safe to do so. All counseling groups are co-facilitated by two counselors.

Group Facilitation and Planning:
*Co-facilitate (with an experienced group leader) two two-hour per week Spanish-speaking groups for men who abuse intimate partners (via zoom at least through 2021 until in-person sessions are resumed).
*Attend weekly supervision meeting.
*
Maintain telephone and written contact about each assigned client with probation department, other service providers, and victims.
*
Plan group with co-facilitator.
*Make collateral contacts (over phone or in writing) with other service providers, probation officers, and clients' partners.
*
Attend staff meetings and staff retreats, as scheduled.
*Attend three-day training and observe at least six group sessions (both conducted via Zoom) Free training is provided in the form of attending a three-day training for group leaders and observing six group sessions that includes debriefing with the group leaders.

Job requirements:
*Knowledge of multi-cultural male socialization.
*Must be bilingual in Spanish/English and have writing proficiency in English.
*Must have basic computer word processing and email skills.
*A commitment to ending violence against women.
*Must attend 24-hour Department of Public Health-designated training on group interventions for men, and observe six group sessions at a DPH-designated training site, prior to employment. (Training and observations via Zoom until further notice.)
*Teaching or group facilitation experience is helpful but not necessary.
