Emerge is hiring an Office Manager for 30 hours per week. Emerge was first abuse education (batterer intervention) program in the United States. Emerge offers counseling for people who have abused their partner, public education around issues related to abuse, and training in our model of counseling those who abuse. The Office Manager will work Monday through Friday, from approximately 9-5 or 10-6. This is an in-person position. Responsibilities and Duties Standard receptionist duties: answer the phone and take messages, answer email, schedule. Supervise undergraduate interns. Edit and maintain outreach materials, pamphlets, and the Emerge website. Manage the Emerge client database and files. Digitize paper files. Process client orientations for the Abuser Education Program and Anger Management Program. Assist in administration and implementation of local and out-of-state training. Assist counselors and directors as needed. Qualifications Must have an undergraduate degree from a 4-year college. Must have demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Constant Contact; a broad understanding of modern computers and technology; and a demonstrated comfort level with learning new computer skills. Must be comfortable handling phone and personal contact with Emerge clients, survivors of domestic violence, human service providers, and criminal justice professionals. Must have a strong commitment to, and belief in, Emerge’s mission to end abusive behavior in intimate relationships. Must have strong writing and editing skills. Must have a commitment to respectful, pleasant interaction with the diverse staff, client base, and overall community in which Emerge operates. Benefits Compensation will be $25/hour.
