Training

Emerge has conducted trainings to teach methods to intervene in abusive behavior in over 44 states and 22 countries.  When conducting an event outside of Massachusetts, Emerge is able to tailor a training to suit your agency’s needs.

To learn more about trainings, or to inquire about enrollment, call our office at 617-547-9879, or e-mail Ted German, our Director of Training.

How do  sign up?

Emerge runs two regular trainings in Massachusetts: our Introductory Counseling Abusers 3-Day Training, and our Advanced Group Skills 2-Day Training.

Our Introductory Training is for people who work in the field of domestic violence and wish to become familiar  with the Emerge model of Batterer Intervention. For more information or to register, click here.

Our Advanced Training is for people who are already familiar with the Emerge model, and who wish to refine their skills as group leaders. We discuss difficult questions, tough client scenarios, and the role of Batterer Intervention programs. For more information or to register, click here.

What happens after I register?

After you register, you will receive a brief confirmation email. A few weeks prior to the training, we will email you a more detailed confirmation letter, complete with directions, maps, and other important information about the training.

If you need information about hotels in the area, please contact us.

You must submit a separate registration form for each attendee, and a separate registration for each training you plan on attending.
